About Master of International Trade and Business (MITB)

The Master of International Trade and Business (MITB) program of the Department of International Business, University of Dhaka has been launched as a direct response to the escalating demand for skilled professionals in operating deals and transactions in international trade and business, in a situation when globalization is becoming an increasingly important factor for the development of Bangladesh. The country is doing fairly well in export-import trade and is experiencing an expanded presence of international (including transnational and multinational) companies. This rigorous two-year program combines in-depth study of the theories and practices of international trade and business and emphasizes hands-on business problem solving. The program offers a high level of flexibility and a wide range of elective courses that allow students to tailor the program to their specific career goals. Immersed in the theoretical world of analysis of international trade and business and practical interaction with the real business world, MITB graduates are expected to find and create value in the market and enjoy a wide range of career options – from business houses and missions to the policy making, and regulatory and administrative bodies involved in international trade and business.
